A Quick Review

Growing and developing our faith is not just for the children and youth. As individuals and as a community, we should never think of ourselves as having accomplished or arrived at our destination, but rather we are always seeking the next step God has for us in our learning and growth. We have a variety of Sunday Schools, Bible Studies, and other small groups which provide adults of all ages support and guidance as they continue their journey of faith. All groups meet at the church unless otherwise noted.

Every Sunday, after our traditional 8:30 a.m. service, our Sunday School classes start to gather in their classrooms for Sunday School. There is a wide variety of classes that differ in age demographics, learning styles, topics of discussion, and more. If you are interested in joining one of our Sunday School classes or just want to see what they are about, feel free to check out which one is for you, by clicking the link below.

If you are interested in being involved with a church based community that meets inside and outside of church grounds, then you may want to consider joining one of our many Adult Groups. Like our Sunday School classes, these groups vary in a number of ways, but they all focus on spiritual growth, fellowship, and serving our community in missions. If you are looking to be a part of something bigger than yourself, want to give back to the community, make new friends, or just want to come out and be social, then one of our Adult Groups may be for you! We know it can be difficult to get involved with a new group of people that you don’t know. That’s why we would like to offer a few suggestions to help you get acquainted with First UMC Colleyville and the members that are here. We want to get to know you!

1) Get to know your pastor, whether its our Senior Pastor or Associate Pastor. Not only are they a great resource, but letting them know who you are makes it easier for them to connect you with individuals and/or church groups who shares similar interests.

2) Try more than one group. There are so many groups with different interests and styles, the first group you join may not meed your needs or interests. We encourage you to visit multiple groups to see which one meets your needs the best.

3) Ask lots of questions! Our church staff and congregation are very friendly, and we want to clear up any questions you about how to get involved, to ensure you have the best experience here.

I always want to make sure in addition to being spiritually fed, you get to know our church community. Reach out to me so I can help guide you to a group that best meets your needs.
