Special Lenten Offering – Wings of the Morning
by patty shaw
The Southern Congo Wings of the Morning is an aviation ministry that uses Cessna airplanes to transport patients, medical workers, medical supplies, emergency supplies for United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR), educators, mission teams, church leaders and other needs to villages. The Democratic Republic of Congo does not have a useable road system and depends on these pilots to deliver the supplies in less than four hours. This mission has saved many lives by using planes to transport patients and medical supplies. They are the 911 of the Congo. Rukang Chikomb is one fo these dedicated pilots. Let’s continue to support him and the work Wings of the Morning does.
Each year we take up a special Lenten offering for our oversees missions. Help us keep Wings of the Morning flying! You can give online designating “Other” and then typing “Lenten Offering” in the Additional Comments box.
