see the Worship
page for more information on our Sunday schedule.
YOUTH Sunday School
All
youth Sunday School classes meet in The Service Station, a
facility dedicated to youth ministry, located at the Pleasant
Run Road parking lot just north of the sanctuary building.
Mid High (Grades 6-8)
This class covers
all sorts of topics important in the lives of 7th & 8th
graders. Led by Patty Shaw, the class uses a
biblically-based curriculum to promote the spiritual
development of Middle Schoolers that incorporates both small
group and large group activities and discussions.
Senior High
(Grades 9-12)
Senior High Sunday School is led by Deborah Morgan. They are
currently using BookMarks, a Bible study for older youth in
grades 9 through 12 that engages leaders and learners through
an emphasis on biblical stories. These sessions are grouped
into four areas of importance: Covenant, Salvation,
Liber-ation and Justice, and Incarnation.
Confirmation Class
Led by Al Tees, Don Hannah, Beth Battles,
the Senior Pastor, and special guest teachers, this class is
designed for 6th grade students to help them understand
faith in Christ and the role of the Church. Through
Sunday morning classes, special field trips, and quarterly
Friday evening events, students have an opportunity to
explore their beliefs, the Bible, Christianity, baptism,
Holy Communion, prayer, the Holy Spirit, the United
Methodist church, and their relationship with God and
Christ. Near the end of the course, students can meet
privately with the pastor and choose if they wish to profess
their faith and be confirmed as full members of Christ's
Church. The class meets in The Service Station (youth
building).
