The Longest Lent Study
When: Monday nights from February 22 – March 29 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Zoom
Throughout the history of Christianity, Lent has been a season of “No.” It has been a season in which followers of Jesus have said “no” to themselves, their desires, and their wants through fasting and spiritual practices. 2020 pushed much of the world into The Longest Lent, a full year of “no.” As we enter Lent 2021, it is a time to say “yes” by preparing ourselves for the new beginning Christ is bringing out of this year of “no.” In our Longest Lent Study, you will be invited to explore a series of faith-filled “Yeses.”
Saying “Yes” to Sabbath… after a year of lockdown
Saying “Yes” to Healing… and wholeness
Saying “Yes” to Praying…for our enemies
Saying “Yes” to reading the Bible…between the lines
Saying “Yes” to restoring…relationships with others
The Longest Lent study will be on Monday nights from February 22-March 29 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Zoom, led by Pastor Katie Newkirk. Sign up online or call the church office.
