    Inclusive Seminar

    We believe that every person, regardless of ability, is a beloved child of God and should feel welcome in our church.  Join us on Sunday June 29 at 10:10am in the sanctuary for a seminar that will help us learn practical ways to interact with and support people with disabilities.  Together, we’ll explore how to make our worship, classrooms, and community spaces more inclusive.

    We’re excited to welcome Karine Tonnu, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst from Phoenix ABA Services in Keller, TX, who will lead us in this important conversation.

    Join us as we continue to grow into a church that not only welcomes everyone, but truly values and embraces them.

    Young at Heart Summer Lunches

    During the summer months Young at Heart will enjoy fellowship over lunch at local restaurants instead of meeting at the church. 

    Mark your calendars now so you won’t miss them! Lunch is at 11:30am the last Wednesday of each month.  They’ll meet July 30 at Ahoyama and August 27 at Bacon’s Bistro and Cafe.  All are welcome!

    Women’s Ministry

    Join FUMC Colleyville Women’s Ministry for a fun and meaningful evening as we kick off summer together!  Monday, June 16 at 6pm in the Event Center, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner then prepare for our summer mission project: Feed Our Kids. After dinner, we’ll decorate lunch sacks that will later be filled with meals for children in our community facing food insecurity.

    But it’s not all work! We’ll wrap up the evening with fellowship and ice cream sundaes!  Please bring $5 to help cover dinner. All are welcome, please bring a friend and sign up HERE

    Summer Book Club

    Summer is the perfect time to curl up in your favorite lawn chair on the porch or on a chaise lounge by the pool and read a good book! 

    In June, join us in reading, “The Art of Pilgrimage: The Seeker’s Guide to Making Travel Sacred” by Phil Cousineau.  This book is a guide to mindful, spiritual travel that inspires seeing the sacred in every journey.  This book club will meet in person at the church on Wednesday June 18th, from 6-7:30pm, led by Pastor Mike in the Bassett Conference Room.

    In July, we’ll read “A Faith of Many Rooms” by Debie Thomas which explores how Christianity can embrace a faith that offers more room for diverse perspectives and experiences. Led by Pastor Anne-Marie, this book club will meet Wednesday, July 16 from 6-7:30 pm in E100 Parent’s Sanctuary.

    Project Transformation

    This summer, you can make a difference with Project Transformation. Spend two hours each day buddy-reading with elementary students, helping them improve their reading skills. It’s a meaningful way to connect and support these young learners.

    FUMC Colleyville’s Project Transformation Week is happening from June 16-18 at Martin UMC, from 10am to noon!  We hope volunteers can be present all three days since it helps build a relationship with the students.

    Special Needs Adult Sunday School Class

    We’re excited to announce the launch of a new Sunday School class designed for adults with intellectual and developmental challenges. This welcoming and supportive class will offer a meaningful opportunity to explore faith and learn more about the Bible.

    Starting June 1, the class will meet every Sunday from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. in the Searchlight Center meeting room, located in the Lighthouse Youth Building.

    We look forward to growing in faith together and welcome anyone who would benefit from this special time of learning and connection.
