    Advent Bible Study

    Join Pastor Anne-Marie and the small group, Kaleidoscope, for a four week Advent study at FUMCC! This year, we will be walking through, “The Angels of Christmas: Hearing God’s Voice in Advent,” by Rev. Susan Rob. For four weeks, we will explore the angelic visits that surround the birth of Jesus with figures like Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and more. In this study, we will explore the visits and dive deep into the history of the angel Gabriel–and other angels–in the Old Testament, while also learning how to listen for God’s presence and message for today. Join us as we discover the meaning and messages of the angels of Christmas for listeners then and now!

    Our 4-week Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, November 28th – December 19th, from 7:00-8:15p.m. This Bible Study will be a hybrid format, which means you can participate in-person or online via Zoom. Those who meet in person will gather in Rm106 at FUMCC! Register for the Bible study HERE.

    Art and Faith Class: Romanian Food Festival Visit

    All are welcome to join the Art and Faith Sunday School Class as they visit the Romanian Food Festival.  They will meet at 6pm on Saturday November 4th in front of the Sanctuary at Saint Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church.  They will tour the beautiful church there, observe the works of art and then enjoy the Romanian foods and music.  Come learn about the rich and unique culture of the Romanian people!

    Parking is available at Heritage High School or Heritage Elementary School with shuttles available to the festival.

    Please join us for a pot luck Thanksgiving lunch on Sunday 11/19 after the 11:11 service.  The church is providing the turkey and we will all bring and share delicious sides!

    If you aren’t asked to bring something specific through your Sunday school class or small group, please bring the following based on the first initial of your last name:

    Last names starting with A-K              Fruit or Salad

    Last names starting with L-R              Vegetable (not potatoes, corn or green beans)

    Last names starting with S-Z              Dessert

    We can’t wait to all give thanks together!

    Coats Against the Cold

    Coats Against the Cold

    For the ninth year, FUMC Colleyville is collecting and distributing coats and cold weather gear to help those in need.

    You can bring donations of men’s, women’s or children’s new or gently used coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, gloves, or hats to the collection area at the church, on the landing by the elevator, or drop off in the church office. You can also make a financial donation to support this effort by writing a check, through your regular electronic giving method; just make sure to note the gift is for Coats Against the Cold. A donation of $22 purchases a new coat for a child.

    This effort is led by the remarkable United Methodist Men and they will be busy distributing coats to Northside InterCommunity Agency, First Street Methodist Mission, Union Gospel Mission, Presbyterian Night Shelter and many more.  Thank you in advance for your generosity as we live out our church vision to be an outwardly focused church that engages the local community!
