    Ash Wednesday Services

    Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and it is a service for us to confront our own mortality and confess our sin before God within a community of faith. We will offer two Ash Wednesday services on Wednesday, February 22. The first service will be in-person at 12:00 p.m./noon, with a soup lunch to follow in the Event Center. The second service will be at 7 p.m. The 7 p.m. service will be hybrid (in-person and online).

    Praying Our Way Through Lent

    Pastor Mike is leading a Lenten Prayer Retreat during the Sunday School hour beginning Sunday, February 26.  We will listen for God’s voice as we pray scripture.  The retreat will meet Sundays 2/26 – 4/9 from 10:15-11:00am in the Sanctuary.  No registration required – all are welcome to join.

    Lent Bible Study

    In Entering the Passion of Jesus: A Beginner’s Guide to Holy Week, author, professor, and biblical scholar Amy-Jill Levine explores the biblical texts surrounding the Passion story. She shows us how the text raises ethical and spiritual questions for the reader, and how we all face risk in our Christian experience.

    Join Kaleidoscope small group for a six week Lenten bible study. The group will meet Tuesdays, 7:00-8:15pm, beginning February 28 and going through April 6. You can participate in person at the church or virtually through Zoom.

    Coats Against the Cold 2022

    More children than ever are in need.  FUMC Colleyville’s men’s group is on a mission to give new or good quality coats to kids in need in our community. While our primary focus is on children’s coats, we are also collecting good used or new adult winter clothing or coats which we will distribute to community organizations that serve that clientele. You can help by dropping off coats at the church office during office hours (Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm) or make a donation by clicking HERE.  Please make sure to note in the comments that your donation is for Coats Against the Cold.

    Please join us at FUMC Colleyville’s annual Holiday Extravaganza. The Extravaganza features delicious barbecue, a bake sale, silent auction, and craft fair. A children’s room is available, staffed by our Director of Children’s and Family Ministry, if you’d like to shop child-free!

    All proceeds from the auction and the Holiday Extravaganza support the missions and ministry of the church.  Come kick off the season and get into the holiday spirit at the Extravaganza!

    Farewell Fiesta for Pastor Katie

     We hope you will join us for a luncheon following Pastor Katie’s final service with us on Sunday, 10/2 in the Event Center immediately following the 11:11 service (which will also be in the Event Center).  There will be a blessing tree for Katie if anyone would like to bring gift cards, monetary gifts, cards, or written prayers.  Let’s use this time to grieve Pastor Katie’s departure but also celebrate her long lasting impact at FUMC Colleyville and her future as a senior pastor at Saint Paul UMC in Hurst.

    Connect Class

    All guests and new members are invited to attend our Connect Class, which is a short-term study designed to help people understand what it means to belong to FUMCC. We offer this three-week class to equip and inform those who are thinking about becoming members of FUMCC and those who recently joined. Our next Connect Class will be from Sunday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bassett Conference Room and online.
