It’s time for FUMC Colleyville’s annual Trick or Treat Party! This free event includes hot dogs and popcorn, games, a treat walk and so much trick or treating! Join us from 5-7 pm on Sunday October 27 in the church Event Center. Costumes not required but we’d love to see your creative costumes and best Halloween style!
Let’s Taco ’bout QPR
QPR – Question, Persuade, and Refer – is a suicide prevention training designed to give every person in our community the confidence and competence to help someone at risk for suicide. Anyone can learn how to recognize the warning signs, offer hope and get help.
Learn about the important work of The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation and get trained in QPR while you enjoy FREE TACOS! Join us in the church Event Center on Tuesday October 15 at 6pm. Register HERE.
On Wednesday October 9, join us in the event center at 6 PM for neighborhood Table. The meal is hosted by United Women in Faith (UMW) and will feature casseroles, sides, and desserts. You won’t want to meet miss out on all their homemade treats! A suggested donation for dinner is $7 per person or $20 for a family of three or more.
And next week’s Neighborhood Table kicks off our donation drive for GRACE Grapevine’s Christmas Cottage. If you’d like to participate, please bring an unwrapped toy or stuffed animal to dinner.
This year’s Fall Bible study is “Sermon on the Mount: A Beginner’s Guide to the Kingdom of Heaven” by renown scholar, Amy Jill Levine.
The Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5-7, contains some of Jesus most profound and most memorable teachings. What might these teachings have meant to his disciples, and to the others who first heard them? How, if we pay careful attention to his words, does Jesus provide us a road map to living as God would have us live?
In Sermon on the Mount: A Beginner’s Guide to the Kingdom of Heaven, Dr. Amy-Jill Levine introduces the major topics in the Sermon on the Mount and shows how the words of Jesus speak forward to reach hearts and minds today.
Our 5-week Bible Study will meet Sundays, October 13th – November 17th, from 6:00-7:15 p.m. Please note: we will not gather on October 27th due to FUMCC Trick or Treat! FUMCC’s Workout Club is back! If improving your balance and building strength is one of your resolutions this year–this is a place to start!
Join Ms Elise in the Event Center every Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm. There is a $20 per month cost; you can bring cash to your first session. These workouts are perfect for any fitness level – we can’t wait to get moving with you!
As our 100th Church Birthday approaches, FUMCC is celebrating with service! You’re invited to join us for a church-wide day of service following the 11:11 service on Sunday, September 22nd! We will begin with lunch and fellowship at 12:30, start work on our projects at 1pm!
We have 4 Projects to choose from, three on-site at the church and one off-site at the Community Enrichment Center.

Join us for a Quilt Retreat at FUMCC from Tuesday, September 17th through Friday, September 20th! Whether you’re looking to work on personal projects, learn new techniques from fellow quilters, or simply enjoy some time in fellowship, this retreat is the perfect opportunity.
A special highlight of our time together will be on Wednesday, where we’ll come together to create 100 special pillowcases for the children at Cook’s Children’s Hospital. Each day will also feature a homecooked lunch, made to be shared together!

You are invited to join us for a weekend of worship, fun, and fellowship as we discover what it means to be treasured by God! Women from churches across the area are invited to a Women’s Retreat hosted by Martin UMC and FUMC Colleyville on September 20-21. We will gather Friday evening for dinner and fellowship and resume on Saturday. Pastor Joy Dister-Dominguez (Director of Care and Healing for the Horizon Texas Conference) will be our speaker and Pastor Anne-Marie Berg will be leading our music.
The cost of the weekend will be $60.00 per person. But don’t let cost stop you from coming, if this cost is out of reach, simply select “scholarship” as part of the sign-up!
