    Encanto Movie Night- Friday, August 5

    On Friday, August 5th, we’ve got your Friday night date night or family night plans covered! As a part of our Encanto sermon series, we will host dinner and movie night from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 5th in the Event Center. We will cater Rosa’s tacos for dinner, and we will watch the new hit Disney movie Encanto together. Please RSVP by Wednesday August 3rd via the Facebook event, call the church office, or email Laura Herndon at , so we know how many to plan for.

    Empowering Parents in a World of Anxious Kids- Sunday, August 28

    As a parent, it can be a struggle to help your kids navigate change, uncertainty, and being upset. This two-hour workshop will help parents develop tools to support kids in navigating all their God-given feelings. The workshop will be led by Rev. Rachel Heyduck, an ordained deacon in The United Methodist Church and a certified coach, with a background in social work. Childcare will be provided. The workshop will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person, but it will not be recorded.

    In addition to the workshop, Rev. Rachel Heyduck will also be a guest speaker in the 11:11 service on Sunday, August 28. She will be speaking about anxiety, as a part of our Mental Health and the Church worship series.

    Summer Sunday- August 14

    On Sunday, August 14th, in the Event Center immediately following the 11:11 service: Join us for a fun afternoon (noon to 2:00 pm) of fellowship, inflatables, games for the whole family and food as we wrap-up the summer. There will be a bounce house and an obstacle course in the event center. A water slide with a splash pool outside! Bring your swimsuit. This event is free, and all are welcome- please invite your friends and neighbors to join us for this afternoon of fellowship and community!

    Please note that both worship services will be in the Sanctuary on August 14 due to Summer Sunday.

    Summer Tutoring

    We are excited to be offering tutoring over the Summer at First UMC Colleyville. Everyone is welcome to come for help in math, reading or any other subject. We have a group of volunteers ready to help you get ahead this Summer! Snacks will be served, too. Join us on Wednesdays starting June 15 to July 27th from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Connect Room.

    Eggciting Announcement! It’s back this year! Pancake breakfast, Easter crafts, photo booth and egg hunt, we are so hoppy. We are now accepting candy donations to fill the Easter eggs. Please bring your candy donations to the church office on Sunday mornings or any weekday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

    Family Ties: A New Sunday School Class for Kids and Their Families

    Exciting news!!! Family Ties, a Sunday School class for kids and their families will be starting on March 27th at 10:00 in the Kids Connect Room. This is a new approach where kids and their parents or grandparents can be in Sunday School together. We will have time together and then adults and kids will breakout for part of the lesson.
