This event was moved from Sunday, January 16 to Sunday, February 13 because of the current COVID surge.

    Small Group Launch

Spiritual growth does not only happen in worship, but often happens in less formal gatherings like small groups. A small group typically meets on a weekly basis to build relationships, pray, and grow in faith together. The commitment for these small groups is eight weeks, with the possibility of extending longer. Our next Small Group Launch will be on Sunday, January 23 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in FL204 and online. Surge in Omicron Cases–December 31, 2021

Dear members and friends of First UMC Colleyville:

We are all disappointed by the current surge in Covid cases due to the new Omicron variant. Both Tarrant County and Dallas County Public Health Committees have raised the Covid threat level back to red. To keep one another safe, beginning this Sunday we will require the wearing of masks for those who worship in-person or participate in an in-person Sunday school class or small group. We also ask that you practice social distancing. Your cooperation is most appreciated and will go a long way to help keep our doors open.

    Grace and Peace –

    Pastor Mike

    Reopen Task Force Update- 8/31/21

Given the updated CDC guidance for fully vaccinated adults to wear masks indoors in public in areas of substantial or high transmission, our Reopen Task Force recommends that all church members and guests, vaccinated and unvaccinated, aged 2 and up wear masks during worship and in public spaces of our church. Socially distanced seating continues to be available in the balcony of the sanctuary and in the back two rows on the right hand side in the Event Center for those who wish to remain distanced. Wearing masks in Sunday School classes, small groups, and other group gatherings is up to the groups and individual’s discretion. We strongly recommend for unvaccinated individuals aged 2 and up to wear a mask at all times while on the church campus.

    Dear Church,

We have good news to share! We have now moved to into Phase 5 of our reopening plan. Phase 5 allows our children’s ministry to resume in person meetings.

For groups who wish to meet onsite, the group leader must make a reservation with the church office by emailing   or calling 817-281-5254. Facilities will be cleaned between each group gathering.

We encourage you to continue to stay safe and diligent as we move into Phase 5. Thank you for your continued support, understanding, and patience as we navigate through this process of reopening.

    Grace and Peace,
    Pastor Mike and Pastor Katie

    FUMC Colleyville Reopen Plan Summary

    Phased Reopening

The gradual re-entry into our FUMC Colleyville campus will occur in five phases with incremental engagement and access to our campus. Online worship and ministry will continue through each phase. Each phase includes the previous additions from earlier phases.

The outline below highlights the current state of the campus reentry actions and plans:

    • Phase 1: All ministries online.
    • Phase 2a: Internal adult and youth groups allowed to meet outside on church grounds, with strict safety guidelines, and an online option. The maximum number will be determined by government mandate.
    • Phase 2b: Internal adult and youth groups allowed to meet inside church in groups of 10 people or less, with strict safety guidelines, and an online option.
    • Phase 3: Worship on campus with strict safety guidelines, in addition to online worship. Adult and youth groups can meet inside the church building, with the maximum number determined by government mandate.
    • Phase 4: External groups can begin to meet at the church.
    • Phase 5: Children’s ministry programming resumes in the church building.

What is our church’s guiding principles for reopening?

Your health and safety are critically important to us. Therefore, our re-entry is guided by our mission statement, the United Methodist Church, Central Texas Conference directives, local public health officials, and Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations. You can view our full reopen plan here.
