Soul Movie Night (August 8, 2021)
Join us on Sunday August 8 for a movie night featuring Disney/Pixar’s new movie Soul! The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Event Center of the church. We will provide popcorn, candy, and drinks, and it is all free! We also encourage you to join us that day in worship in the 11:11 service, as we conclude our Gospel in Disney series. We will talk about how the movie Soul connects to the Gospel and what it teaches us about discovering our purpose.
Soul is a film about a middle school band teacher named Joe Gardner, who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from New York City to The Great Before- a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22, who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions.
