An organization called Caring for our Community is hosting a health fair and presentation at our church on Thursday, June 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. If you or a loved one wants to learn more about health care resources and the psychology of hoarding, we hope you will join us for this event!
Join us for the Women’s Summer Bible Study covering Priscilla Schirer’s work entitled Jonah.
Interruptions. They’re aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. But how we handle interruptions actually tell us more about ourselves. What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God’s invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.
The 7-week study will be on Monday nights beginning July 1 from 7:00-8:45 in FL204 (ABC Classroom). Cost for the materials is $15. Please reserve your spot with the church office or with Laurie Bolden 817-706-3206.
Summer is the perfect time to curl up in your favorite lawn chair on the porch or on a chaise lounge by the pool and read a good book! Please consider joining us one Tuesday night a month for dinner and book discussion. Each of the Summer Book Club meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at various homes and restaurants. Save the following dates in your calendar!
Tuesday, June 18 – Love Does by Bob Goff
Tuesday, July 16 – Inspired by Rachel Held Evans
Tuesday, August 20 – If Grace is True by Philip Gulley and James Mulholland

If you have a heart to serve others like Jesus does, we have a great opportunity for you! We are in need of volunteers to read with children at Project Transformation from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. June 17-20 at FUMC Bedford. Project Transformation is a summer camp for children in underserved areas, with a focus on literacy. As a volunteer, you will read one-on-one with a child, help them improve their reading skills, and share God’s love and care with them. If you would like to serve in this capacity, please contact Pastor Katie at katielewis@fumccolleyville or call the church office.
