Palm Sunday is almost upon us! And that means it’s time for a bake sale! United Methodist Women’s United Women in Faith will once again offer delectable treats for your holiday enjoyment before and after both services on Palm Sunday, March 24. Stop by the landing near the elevator to make your selection.
This Lent, in the 11:11 service, we are walking through a new sermon series from Sanctified Art called: “Wandering Heart: Figuring Out Faith with Peter.” Join us, as we focus on the life and faith of one of Jesus’ most famous disciples. In Peter, we see a person who is both steadfast and unsteady, a dear friend and a betrayer, a follower and a wanderer. In Peter, we often see ourselves. By following Peter’s journey, we watch the story of Jesus unfold through the eyes of a very normal human trying to figure it all out—just like us
Wednesday 2/21, join other caregivers and families experiencing the ups and downs of special needs parenting as they seek to support and lift one another up in community. Join Pastor Anne-Marie for a five-week Lenten study at FUMCC! This year, we will be walking through, “Remember: God’s Covenants and the Cross” by Rev. Susan Rob. Through the weeks leading up to Easter, we will explore the way that God’s promises reveal God’s character, as we study the covenants with Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David, followed by the new covenant established on Maundy Thursday. This Lenten journey culminates with an examination of the cross as another example of God’s promise for a new world. Join us as we remember the God who always remembers us!
Our 5-week Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, February 20th – March 19th, from 7:00-8:15 p.m. This Bible Study will be a hybrid format, which means you can participate in-person or online via Zoom.

Pastor Mike is leading a Lenten Prayer Retreat during the Sunday School hour beginning Sunday, February 18. We will listen for God’s voice as we pray scripture and look at how art tells the Easter story. The retreat will meet Sundays 2/18-3/31 from 10:15-11:00am in the Sanctuary. All are welcome to join!
Join Director of Pastoral Outreach, Will Keck, for a new short-term class, “Resolutions: Making Lasting Change.” The class is hybrid so you can join in-person or online. It will meet 6:15-7:30pm on Mondays, January 22 through February 26. During this study, we will learn about equipping and empowering ourselves to make lasting changes in our lives, whether it is personal goals or the change that Christ calls us to. Join Pastor Anne-Marie and the small group, Kaleidoscope, for a four week Advent study at FUMCC! This year, we will be walking through, “The Angels of Christmas: Hearing God’s Voice in Advent,” by Rev. Susan Rob. For four weeks, we will explore the angelic visits that surround the birth of Jesus with figures like Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and more. In this study, we will explore the visits and dive deep into the history of the angel Gabriel–and other angels–in the Old Testament, while also learning how to listen for God’s presence and message for today. Join us as we discover the meaning and messages of the angels of Christmas for listeners then and now!
